Saktyavesh weekly update - 26th September 2011

Dear All,

Government Lower Primary School, Vibhuthipura, Bangalore

Any one for Teaching?- TWith exams over last week, we can continue to teach Basic English and computers at the School. Basic knowledge of English is not up to the mark - a few 2^nd and 3^rd class students are weak at identifying English letter. I will be going to teach this Saturday. If any of you can spare an hour or two over this Saturday (1^st October), let me know. (For those who want to teach computers - There is a computer lab in use where basics of computers can be taught)

Gandhi Jayanti – This Sunday, being the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, there is a celebration at the School. We are invited to be a part of this celebration

Dear All,

Semester Exams – Semester exams are starting for 4^th and 5^th standard, from tomorrow. So the Teacher has requested that we can teach English and computers next Saturday and not this Saturday (as the children will be busy with Exams)

Current Requirements/Needs of the Schools that we are supporting

 

Floor Mats: The Teacher of National Middle School Pallavaram, Chennai, has requested for 5 floor mats

                        This is for the children who are sitting on the floor. The old mats that we got have worn out

                         If any of you would like to sponsor for the same, please let us know

 

Computer/English Classes – There is a need for volunteers who can teach English/Computers for the Children @ Government -

         Lower Primary School, Vibhuthipura, Bangalore. Looking for Friends who can spare time (an hour or two)

         over the weekend. Please reply to this mail if you would be interested

Teachers Salary  - The volunteer Teacher Veena, that we are sponsoring at the School, salary has been transferred for this month. Since the

                                                        Teacher joined after 10^th August 2011, only Rs 1705 was paid. Thank you Ananth, Rajesh, Pavan, Kamesh for the contribution
