We have five new friends among us. Aparna (Germany), Menagha (Coimbatore), P. Latha and Pon Karthik Kumar (both from Chennai) and G. Chennai School Update

The Chennai School (National Primary School) is currently functioning in a rented building and the School building is not in a good condition. We had meeting with the correspondent of the school to discuss about the future plans of the School and about the improvement of the infrastructure of the School. First we gave introduction about our Trust and our activities. Then we discussed about the plans for the school. Finally we had a prayer and we closed the discussion.

Details of the discussion are given in question and answers format below
1. If the current Teachers retire, are they planning to recruit new Teachers?
Yes. After the retirement of the staffs they will recruit new staffs. As of now there is no vacancy 2. Merging this School with any other Government School. Have they thought some thing on these lines if they are unable to continue support?
No. They are keen on continuing the school as of now
3. Check if they are open to the idea of approaching all the prominent people in surrounding areas to get land and build a school building.
Yes. They are open to approach others to buy the land and building
4. The management can pay up to a maximum of 7k rent every month …… is the management ready to pay more rent if required?
Yes
5. What would be their plan if they are not able to arrange sufficient money to take a new building for rent … is there a backup plan?
We did not discuss about that because they were ready to take up the rent
6. What's the go forward plan of the management regarding this school?
As of now they are not in a position to work in the school
a. Relocation of the school from the current school
b. Then finding some donors to buy the land and as well as constructing the building
There is land near the school, which cost around 80 Lakhs. If we have donor to buy that land then we can start the work in the school
7. How equipped are they to carry this forward?
No funds with them. We need to find people (donors) to work forward
8. How flexible are they for working with us in taking the school forward?
We will have full support
9. What are their feedbacks and suggestions on working with us and the activities that we are doing?They are satisfied
