We are happy to have Sowmya G, from Bangalore, who will be working with us on our common vision - bringing about positive social change by empowering community through Education and Healthcare. Thank you Sowmya for your trust, confidence and support on us. Together, we can make this world a truly better place for each and every one of us
"Enabler" - an addition to the Vision Statement:
Our current vision statement states - To be a platform for positive social change by focusing on two critical areas of community development namely Education and Healthcare. This states that Saktyavesh is only a platform but it does not say that we also act. Our vision should also say that we are an actor and not just a platform for positive social change. Hence a proposal that we add one extra word “Enabler”, so the new vision statement states - To be a platform and an enabler for positive social change by focusing on two critical areas of community development namely Education and Healthcare
There was a good discussion on this and if there are any comments/better suggestions, do let know. This is our vision and it should be the best, it will be our guiding light, our goal and the purpose of our existence. So, do give a deep thought to it and come up with suggestions or better proposals, if you feel so

Back to School Drive
On Sunday, 05th July 2009, there was a procession taken by the students, staff and couple of our volunteers. The purpose of this was to encourage Children from the near by areas who were not attending Schools to come to School. Teachers and our volunteers visited the homes of prospective students and talked about the facilities provided by the School to the Family members. The names of the prospective Students were noted down. A few snaps were taken during the procession
