We are happy to have Sowmya G, from Bangalore, who will be working with us on our common vision - bringing about positive social change by empowering community through Education and Healthcare. Thank you Sowmya for your trust, confidence and support on us. Together, we can make this world a truly better place for each and every one of us

"Enabler" - an addition to the Vision Statement:

Our current vision statement states - To be a platform for positive social change by focusing on two critical areas of community development namely Education and Healthcare. This states that Saktyavesh is only a platform but it does not say that we also act. Our vision should also say that we are an actor and not just a platform for positive social change. Hence a proposal that we add one extra word “Enabler”, so the new vision statement states - To be a platform and an enabler for positive social change by focusing on two critical areas of community development namely Education and Healthcare

There was a good discussion on this and if there are any comments/better suggestions, do let know. This is our vision and it should be the best, it will be our guiding light, our goal and the purpose of our existence. So, do give a deep thought to it and come up with suggestions or better proposals, if you feel so

It cost Rs 13,790 in total. 140 meters of skirt/pant material with each meter costing Rs 58. 210 meters of shirt material and each meter costing Rs 27. Also, we paid Rs 1400 as advance for stitching charges for the Tailor on Saturday, 04 July 2009. For stitching, Rs 75 is the charge per pair of uniform

Saturday, 04 July 2009, we had visited the School to pay the fees for the Teacher whom we are sponsoring. Rs 2000 was paid to Teacher Shri Rajeshwary as salary for the month of June. During the visit, we interacted with the staff members and also checked the newly set up Computer lab and Library

There was a visit by two Government officials from the Educational department to the School. Mr. Kantaraju and Mr. Satish. We had a detailed discussion with them, asking to employ more Teachers at the Schools. The plans they have to improve the quality of Teaching, to improve success of students, better facilities for the Children. If there are any questions that you would like to seek answers for, please send them to us so that this can be taken up with the concerned people. We shall try our best here

New requirements from Bangalore School

The Bangalore School Head Teacher had asked the Students to plant saplings at the School and the Students are loving this idea. So the Teacher has asked us, if we could provide 40 pots to plant more saplings
During the last week of July/August first week there is a inter School competition and the Bangalore Head Teacher has if we could help the Children prepare for the competition. The volunteers would need to help the students with the following
