Government Lower Primary School, bangalore

  • Construction of Multi-purpose hall

Few months back we had received a request to build a multi-purpose hall on the terrace of the current School building which can be used for various purposes – Parents Teachers Meeting, mid-day meal, for conducting activities etc…. The Government has allocated Rs 1.5 lakh for this. We tried to contact contractors who could help us with an estimate and also who could do the work for a lesser cost with good quality. As we were unable to find a contractor who could do this – the Head Teacher of the School has put a plan where in the entire work shall be given directly to mason’s with the Teacher itself overseeing the work. The materials shall be brought and given to the mason. Approximate estimate for this whole work is Rs 4 Lakhs

If the work was not started now the government would take back the allocated money and the chances of building such a hall in the future would be slim. The Head Teacher, Sheela Madam, has requested us to contribute generously and after taking into consideration the total amount we have and factoring our existing commitments, we can donate Rs 30,000. We would be buying the material and donating it, rather than handing over the money directly to the staff
  • Mid-day meal by Akshaya Patra

Happy to inform that Akshaya Patra would providing mid-day meal to the School going forward. Thanks to the efforts of Mr. Kantaraju (Cluster Resource Person), an official from the education department, the children would be given nutritious and hygienic foओद
