ü School visit - On 20th February 2010, two of us were to the School. We distributed chocolates, interacted with Students and Teachers and had a look at the plants that we had donated. The Teacher informed us that except for a couple of them, all the 40 saplings planted are healthy and growing fine. Care is taken that they are kept in sunlight for better growth. Later we had a few children showcasing their talent. We also took some pictures and recorded a couple of videos

The Teacher has said that we can have the MOU signed during the month of March. The details on the exact date and venue shall be communicated as and when it is available. Your presence shall be enriching

ü Birthday celebration - Last November, a friend celebrated the birthday of his relatives by distributing drawing books, pencils, eraser’s and sharpeners. When we visited the School on 20th Feb, the students were using the drawing books for their activities. You can find the images taken on the day (below), when the students were gifted with the items. Request for donation from School

We had received a request for the construction of multipurpose hall at Government Lower Primary School, Bangalore. The rough plan for same is in the below link. While the Education department has sanctioned Rs 2 lakhs, more amount is needed (approx 4 lakhs more as per one contractor). If any of you are aware of building contractors in Bangalore city whom we can approach, kindly let know. We can approach them and ask for a quotation. Then we can choose the best possible quote. Also we need to look for sponsors

Government Lower Primary School, Bangalore

  • Construction of Multi-purpose Hall - A few weeks back there was a request from the School for funding (either partly or in full) a multi-purpose hall, planned to be built in the terrace of the current premises. The estimated budget was approx Rs 6 lacs, of which the School has already approx Rs 2 lacs. The deficit of approx Rs 4 lacs needs to be covered (through sponsorships). On checking with a known contractor we were told that the budget was on the higher side and the overall estimate can be reduced (below Rs 6 lacs). Hence we requested the Head Teacher, Sheela Madam, the detailed plan for the proposal. The Teacher said that She shall share the plan as and when its available
  • Sports day - Like last year, regarding the plan to have a sports day, the Sheela Teacher has said that we can have it in the month of February 2010. It was a great success last year, with the Children and all of us having fun. We can decide on a date looking into the convenience of the majority of friends. Can we have this on 13th February, 20th February, 27thFebruary 2010?
  • Republic day was celebrated on 26th January 2010 at the School
