Saktyavesh weekly update - 27 June 2011

Dear All

Government Lower Primary School, Vibhuthipura, Bangalore

Window work for the hall –  Window work for the multipurpose has been complete.  Six windows were done. With the onset of rains, it was necessary to complete this work. The Head Teacher herself pitched in with the initial finances (Rs 10,000) for this. The total cost was Rs 22,000

After considering our contribution for School uniform, if possible, we shall be contributing for this work

Saktyavesh weekly update - 20th June 2011

School Uniform – Like 2009, the Teacher has requested us to provide uniform for the Children.   We had received very good feedback after that donation and the Teacher had said that this was the best contribution that we ever made. Going by the feedback, we would also like to donate the same this year

Approximate cost for uniform for a single student would be Rs 320 (with 100+ children the budget is may well cross Rs 30,000). Since we don't have sufficient funds, a deficit of Rs 10,000+, we request generous and happily willing contribution, whatever may be possible

Simultaneously the Teacher has identified a tailor who can stitch the uniforms at a lesser cost. Feel free to talk to the Teacher (Sheela Madam @ 8971749859) for any queries/help that you may be willing to offer

Teachers Salary Contribution – The Teachers salary for the volunteer Teacher (Mrs. Rajeeshwari) that we are  sponsoring has been increased to Rs 2500, thanks to the contribution Phani Pavan

This is the third consecutive year that we are sponsoring the Teacher for the School, and she has put in a lot of hard work and intent for the development of the Children and the School

Thank you Rajesh, Ananth and Phani Pavan for your great support, continuously, hence making one more Teacher available at the School

The Teachers salary has been paid by for the month of May 2011

 

National Middle School, Pallavaram, Chennai

The School is scheduled to start from June 14^th, 2011 for this academic year
