16th June 2008

Last week, Balajee had been to the bank to enquire about the details for opening an account. It was an SBI bank in Bangalore. If we are to open a bank account with SBI then it will be a current account, with a minimum balance required of Rs 10,000. Minimum one and maximum three people will be able to operate the account. Online facility will be available, but no debit card will be provided.

If you have any other suggestions or information with respect to this, do feel empowered to put it down. Already got a feedback that, we can open account with a private bank. But this is ruled out, as ours being a non profit body and in future it will be easy if we have an account with a Nationalized bank (that was the advice from our lawyer). Another advice was that opening an account in any one of our names and then once we have sufficient amount then go for a nationalized bank. This can be an option to look into

We shall talk, decide on this and shall keep you all updated

Work is progressing at a slow pace this was the common opinion shared when I spoke with Venkat and Vinay. Still have couple of good action items to complete. Each one has his/her commitment but I guess we still have to find time and work for our initiative

@ Balajee:

If there is anything that I have missed, kindly let know

@Vinay:

I have transferred Rs 1000 for the month of June. Do let know if there are any issues here

If there is any further information that can be shared between us, do let us know
