Dear Friends,

We have a dream, a common dream – that of giving back to our society by helping needy children with education and healthcare. And on 19^th April 2008 we had taken an important step in this direction. We registered our organization “Saktyavesh” successfully in Bangalore.

Prakash and Pandimurugan traveled from Chennai on 18^th April 2008 (Thursday) and reached Bangalore on 19^th morning (Friday). The lawyer gave the original deed to Vinay that morning. We had planned to finish the registration around 12:30pm and then have discussion regarding our future roadmap. The Sub registrar had come by late afternoon. By 04:00pm the registration was complete. Yogitha and Balajee were the official witnesses for registration. It was a great moment of joy. We have been waiting for this for a long time. We thank each one of you who gave us support and belief. Thank you all. We only hope we take it higher to the next level.

What added to the beauty of event was that, we had done this with out paying even one paise as a bribe. We need to thank Vinay for this. He was diplomatic enough to ward of the middle man who was behind us for the purpose. The registration costs was Rs 1240 in total and Vinay was bold to get back the remaining change from him, to that which the middle man replied ‘ no one had asked me the remaining change back’. Thank you Vinay. Hats of to your boldness.

Post registration, we planned that we shall meet on Sunday morning, 20^th April 2008, for discussion. Prakash and Pandimurugan had actually booked their tickets back to Chennai on Sunday morning. They stayed back and cancelled their trip that morning and postponed it to evening. Thank you Prakash and Pandimurugan for making that sacrifice. Each sacrifice counts.

On Sunday morning we had started the discussion by 8:30am. Pandimurugan had invited his friends also. Let me take the opportunity to introduce four new friends. Premnath, my colleague and roommate who is already aware of our activities. He had infact helped me in preparing a couple of documents earlier. Sakthi, Sankar, Athiraj – They are my juniors at my post graduation and classmates of Pandimurugan. They did convey their interest in participating in future visits to schools. Thank you Sakthi, Sankar and Athiraj for that word.

Vinay shall send the minutes of meeting in detail giving deadlines and ownerships taken.

We have a long way to go and we have just started of. We need all your commitment, support and togetherness. We need to run our organization professionally, where there is open flow of thoughts and processes, being as transparent as possible and bring value to the lives.
